Winners of past editions of FICM receive ovation in Cannes With information from Notimex news agency.

The four Mexican filmmakers and Daniela Michel, director of FICM, were present in the screening of the films.

According to information published by the news agency Notimex, Elisa Miller said that she was very excited to be back in Cannes, after she won in 2007 the Palm d´Or for her shortfilm Llover.

Since it´ s first edition in 2003, FICM started to consolidate a partnership with SIC. The alliance, which started formally in 2005, includes the exhibition in Morelia of the best productions of the SIC and SIC showing in Cannes the winner short films of the Mexican film festival.

Cinepolis and FICM hand out the most important prize that SIC awards: 5,000 euros to the Best Long Film. Next Friday FICM will announce the winner and give out the prize, as well as celebrate their traditional party, La última noche, in the Kodak space.
