28 · 10 · 21 El 19° FICM presenta el Foro de los Pueblos Indígenas Compartir en twitter Compartir en facebook Compartir con correo Copiar al portapapeles A 12 años de su creación, en 2007, el Foro de los Pueblos Indígenas es un espacio que, en el marco de la diversidad programática del Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM), ha buscado siempre poner el foco en las propuestas narrativas de los cineastas indígenas. ¿Cuáles son los temas, las inquietudes, las perspectivas, las formas de narrar? En la selección de este año se combinan propuestas de muy diversos formatos y estilos tocando temas nodales que participan de la grandes conversaciones colectivas de nuestros tiempos: territorio, migración, cambio social y transformación en los roles de género; así como la preservación de la tradición como amalgama necesaria en los procesos identitarios. María vuelve a su pueblo a enterrar a su madre, pero su padre la corre del velorio. Dolida, María propone a Piedad, su amor de infancia, irse con ella. Esteban regresa de Estados Unidos y descubre que su esposa Chabela se juntó con otro hombre, así que la somete a juicio ante la Asamblea Comunitaria. Toña revive el dolor por el abuso que sufrió en el pasado pues ahora es su hija quien lo vive. Tres historias se cruzan en la fiesta patronal de un pueblo en la Mixteca oaxaqueña. Soledad lucha por librarse del fantasma de su amante fallecido y terminar la relación con un esposo que vive en Estados Unidos. Juntas, las dos mujeres caminan con los peregrinos locales mientras buscan aliviar su sufrimiento personal. Ahora que está en la edad madura de su vida, José quisiera descansar pero no lo dejan. Vaychiletik explora esta realidad feroz y bella, forjada desde los sueños de los pueblos mayas de México. Trinidad, un poeta nacido el día de la erupción, tiene visiones oníricas que se esparcen rápidamente por su comunidad, despertando un esfuerzo colectivo por desenterrar el viejo hogar. Con la misma entrega son guías y portadores de la palabra en las festividades de su comunidad, en donde fungen como guardianes de la tradición. Los Akatekos mayas llegaron a Chiapas, México, en la década de los años 80, como refugiados por la guerra interna en Guatemala. Desde entonces y hasta la fecha este pueblo desconoce las razones por las cuales su vida corría peligro. Hoy, esta etnia única puede desaparecer si no se hace un reconocimiento de su historia. Documental hablado totalmente en lengua me’phaa (tlapaneco) que recoge parte de la vida ceremonial de las comunidades del Municipio de Acatepec, Guerrero. En esta comunidad, las autoridades son electas bajo el sistema de usos y costumbres y deben cumplir una serie de actos de penitencia y purificación para actuar con justicia y mantener la armonía y la paz en sus comunidades.
