Image Sojob; María María Sojob was born in the tsotsil town of Chenalhó, Chiapas, Mexico. She has a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences from the Autonomous University of Chiapas and a master’s degree in Documentary Film from the University of Chile. Both in her research and documentary work, María explores the narrative and aesthetic forms in the Mayan Tsotsil world view. Tote_Abuelo (2019) is her directorial debut.
