Image Reyes, Rodrigo He graduated from a B.A. in International Studies at the California University in San Diego, United States. He has received numerous recognitions, such as the Canon Filmmaker Award and scholarships from FOPROCINE, EFICINE and Heineken Voices of the Tribeca Film Institute (TFI). He has also participated in workshops imparted by the Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP), the Sundance Institute and the California Council for the Humanities. His work has been shown around the world in more than 50 festivals. His first feature film, Memorias del futuro, won the LCI Award at the UNAM International Film Festival (FICUNAM). In 2013, his documentary Purgatorio was part of the Official Selection of the 11th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), and it won the Jury Award at the New Orleans Film Festival, the Michael Moore Award for Best Documentary at the Ann Arbor Film Festival and the Jury Award at the San Diego Latino Film Festival, among others.
