Gutiérrez Wenhammar; Nicolás

He studied screenwriting and film directing at the Bande à Part Film School in Barcelona, Spain. He gave workshops at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB), Spain, and published a short story in the university magazine FUGA Arquitectura. His short film Ciudades (2013) was nominated for Best Short Film at the 6th edition of the Gaudí Awards Ceremony, organized by the Catalán Film Academy, Spain, and participated in the 16th Mecal Barcelona International Short and Animation Film Festival, Spain; the 1st MOV International Student Film Festival of Pernambuco, Brazil; and the 1st FICUNACH International University Film Festival Chiapas, Mexico. His short film Dona i Ocell (2015) was presented at the 14th International Film Students Meeting of the 63rd Donostia Zinemaldia - San Sebastián International Film Festival, Spain, and was part of the Official Selection of the 13th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). His first feature film Mientras la prisión exista (2015) was selected for the section L’Alternativa Profesionales at the 21st L’Alternativa – Independent Film Festival of Barcelona, Spain, and was part of the Official Selection of the 13th FICM.
