Baumeister; Laura

She studied sociology at the Central American University (UCA) of Nicaragua and cinematography at the CCC film school in Mexico City. She participated with her short fiction film La siesta (2010) in the 4th I’ve Seen Films International Film Festival, Milano, Italy, and in the 8th Latin American Film Festival (LAFF), Utrecht, Netherlands. She also participated in the 1st Rakk Focus Short Film Festival, Villahermosa, Tabasco, with her short fiction film Kelato (2010); in the 12th ICARO International Central American Film Festival, Guatemala, with her short film La mano derecha (2010); and the 7th Short Shorts Film Festival México (SSFFM) with La audición (2012). Her short fiction film Lagunas (2014) was presented at the 12th Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM). Her short film Isabel Im Winter (2015) was part of the Official Selection of the 13th FICM. Her short fiction film Primal force (2016) is part of the Official Selection of the 14th FICM.
