Image Mariscal, Jordi He studied business administration at the Iberoamerican University (UIA, in Spanish), Mexico City, and Hispanic language and literature at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He received a master’s degree in journalism from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) and took a course in screenwriting at the New York Film Academy (NYFA). He participated in two editions of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM): with his short documentary film El danzón del coyote (2007) at the 5th FICM, and with his short fiction film Con una nota (2010) at the 9th FICM. He participated in the 28th Chicago Latino Film Festival and the 62ndBerlin International Film Festival, among other festivals, with his first feature Canela (2012); which won the Child Jury Award at the 16th Toronto International Film Festival - Kids (TIFF Kids) and was nominated for four silver goddesses at the 43rd Silver Goddess Awards Ceremony, Mexico.
