Beristain Egurrola, Natalia

She studied filmmaking at the CCC film school in Mexico City. She has participated in three editions of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM): she presented Peces plátano (2006) at the 5th FICM and won the Best Fiction Short Film; she participated at the 7th FICM with Pentimento (2009); and her first feature film, No quiero dormir sola (2012), won the Best Mexican Feature Film at the 10th FICM. No quiero dormir sola was also presented at the 27th Venice International Film Critics’ Week and received the Jury Award for Best Feature Film at the 43rd International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), among other international festivals.
