Image Herrera, Mónica She studied film and television at the CENTRO Design, Film and Television School in Mexico City. She received a grant from the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE) through the National Competition for Short Film Projects to work on her short fiction film Lucy contra los límites de la voz (2012). The film participated in more than 20 national and international film festivals, including the 10th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM); and it won the Mayahuel for Best Mexican Short Film at the 27th Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG, in Spanish) and the Best of Festival at the 5th Corona Fastnet Short Film Festival, Ireland.
