Image Beltrán, Luis He studied audiovisual arts at the University of Guadalajara (U. de G.). He participated in the 8th Kinoki International College Film Festival, Mexico City, and in the 4th CutOut Fest International Animation and Digital Art Festival, Querétaro, with his animated short film La oscilación eterna (2010). His short documentary film Un día ordinario (2010) was part of the Official Selection of the 4th Short Film Contest of Guadalajara and the 4thDocumentary FilmandVideo Festival Zanate, Colima. He won the Film and Video grant of the State Council for Culture and the Arts (CECA), Jalisco, and a grant from the 6th National Competition for Short Film Projects launched by the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE) for his animated short film ¿Qué es la guerra? (2013). He participated with this film in the 11th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM); the Short Film Corner of the 66th Cannes Film Festival, France; the 28th Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG); and the 35th International Festival of New Latin American Film in Havana, Cuba, among others.
