Escamilla González Aragón, José Pablo

He studied film and television at the CENTRO Design, Film and Television School in Mexico City. He was part of Guadalajara Talents 2013. His thesis short film, Pide y se te dará (2012), was screened at CENTRO’s first “El cine que viene” film exhibition in collaboration with the Cineteca Nacional. At the 8th Kinoki International College Film Festival, Mexico City, he presented his videoart work Bola (2012). He participated with his short fiction film El dolor fantasma (2013) in the 11th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM); the 2nd Hermosillo International Film Festival (FICH, in Spanish); the 4th International Desert Film Festival (FICD, in Spanish), Hermosillo, Sonora; and the 16th Brooklyn Film Festival (BFF), New York, among others. His short fiction film Firefly (2016) is part of the Official Selection of the 14th FICM.
