Image Linares, Ángel He is currently studying filmmaking at the CUEC-UNAM film school in Mexico City. His work has participated in more than 10 film showings and festivals around the world. He participated with his short documentary Acciones de mecanismos belgas (2011), in the Film School Festival at the 6th Säo Paulo Latin American Film Festival, Brazil, and at the 8thKinoki International College Film Festival, Mexico City. His short documentary film Las montañas invisibles (2012) won the award for Best Short Documentary in the Michoacán Section at the 11th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), and two honorable mentions: at the José Rovirosa Award of the UNAM Film Archives and at the 8thInternational Documentary Film Festival of Mexico City (DocsDF, in Spanish). This last work was also shown, among other festivals, at the 53rd Critics’ Week of the Cannes Film Festival, and was nominated for an Ariel for Best Short Documentary Film at the 55th Ariel Awards Ceremony, Mexico.
