Hace quince años, Morelia le abrió sus puertas al cine. Alejandro González Iñárritu, Guillermo del Toro, Alfonso Cuarón, Quentin Tarantino, Salma Hayek, Audrey Tautou, entre muchos otros, han desfilado por sus calles cubiertas de cantera rosa gracias al trabajo que año tras año realiza el Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM).
Sin embargo, la oferta cultural de Morelia no sólo se limita al cine, hay diversas actividades artísticas y culturales cuyo objetivo es promover el talento michoacano.

FEBRERO
Festival Cultural del Pelícano Borregón
Festival multidisciplinario con actividades artísticas de música danza y teatro, y una muestra gastronómica.
MARZO
Jazztival Michoacán
Festival internacional de jazz diseñado para difundir entre los morelianos el gusto por este género musical.
Congreso Nacional de Danza Jazz
Congreso que busca contribuir al desarrollo de la danza-jazz mediante un foro de intercambio con artistas nacionales e internacionales.
Festival Infantil del Folclor Nacional Michoacán
Este festival cuenta con la participación de entre 600 y 800 bailarines y la presencia de hasta 30 agrupaciones regionales y nacionales.
Festival Internacional de Títeres de Morelia
El Festival Internacional de Títeres presenta una selección de obras para todo público.

Muestra Estatal de Danza Contemporánea

Festival Internacional de Guitarra de Morelia
El Festival Internacional de Guitarra de Morelia es uno de los más importantes del país. Desde su fundación ha contado con artistas de reconocido prestigio y se han implementado acciones tendientes a cumplir con las necesidades de la comunidad guitarrística del Estado.
JULIO
Festival Internacional de Trompeta Rafael Méndez
Este festival fomenta la actividad musical de Morelia al proyectar los espacios abiertos, como los conciertos programados en la calle Nigromante.
Muestra Estatal de Teatro
La Muestra Estatal de Teatro convoca año con año a la comunidad teatral de la entidad, con la finalidad de que creadores y artistas presenten su trabajo en un marco de enfrentamiento profesional y cultural.
AGOSTO
Festival Internacional de Danza Folklórica Prof. J. Roberto García Marín
Este festival se realiza en apoyo a la formación de maestros y a la profesionalización de la danza folclórica en Michoacán.
OCTUBRE
Festival Internacional de Música y Nuevas Tecnologías: Visiones Sonoras
Surge en 2005 con el objetivo de apoyar las tendencias actuales de la composición musical que integran a la tecnología como elemento central en el proceso creativo.
Festival de los Pueblos Mágicos
El festival constituye una presentación multisensorial, a través de la danza, la música, la gastronomía, imágenes, artesanías y otros elementos únicos de Cuitzeo, Jiquilpan, Mineral de Angangueo, Pátzcuaro, Santa Clara del Cobre, Tacámbaro y Tzintzuntzan.
Festival Internacional de Danza Contemporánea Red Serpiente
La Red Serpiente es un festival independiente que invita a distintas compañías y solistas de México y el extranjero a participar en una temporada de funciones, clases maestras, talleres, conferencias y proyecciones de videodanza.
Encuentro Cocineras Tradicionales
