Illumination Film Festival en el 16° FICM

Founded in 2007 by Chris Meledandri, Illumination has captured audiences around the world, always presenting irreverent characters with a big heart that makes them unique. The movie that launched them off and turned them into one of the most powerful franchises that exist today was Despicable Me (2010, dir. Pierre Coffin, Chris Renaud) –which brought us the adorable and naughty Minions.

Over the years, there have been not only sequels of this franchise, but also other films, such as Dr. Seuss' The Lorax (2012, dir. Chris Renaud), Minions (2015, dir. Pierre Coffin, Kyle Balda), The Secret Life of Pets (2016, dir. Chris Renaud) and Sing! (2016, dir. Garth Jennings).

Well known Latin American talents have been cast in the dubbing of these films, among which we can find Andrés Bustamante, Alex Syntek, Alejandro Fernandez, Andrea Legarreta, Alfonso Herrera, Sandra Echeverría, Leonardo Lozane, Irene Azuela, Cassandra Ciangherotti, Martha Debayle, Ricky Martin, Thalía, Mariano Osorio, Edgar Vivar, Mónica Huarte, Eugenio Derbez, Andrés López, Martín Campilongo, Ana María Simón, Roger González, Benny Ibarra, HaAsh, Leonardo Sbaraglia, Eugenia Suarez and Jay de la Cueva.

The Illumination Festival seeks to reconnect the audiences that have followed this animation studio with their films on the big screen.
