Prior to the special screening of Nuevo orden (2020), by Michel Franco, he unveiled an armchair with his name at the 18th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). During the event, the president of the festival, Alejandro Ramírez; the vice president, Cuauhtémoc Cardenas Batel, and the founder and director of FICM, Daniela Michel were also present.

“It is a film that challenges us, questions us, a disturbing film that forces reflection, that leaves no one without a reaction,” said Alejandro Ramírez.

El baile de los 41 by David Pablo closed the 18th FICM

The film El baile de los 41 (2020), by David Pablos, closed the 18th edition of the Morelia International Film Festival this Sunday, with the presence of the festival’s president, Alejandro Ramírez; Vice President Cuauhtémoc Cardenas; the founder and director of FICM, Daniela Michel, the director of the film and members of the cast.

“We are very pleased to close this edition of the festival with a long-awaited feature film, which has generated a lot of expectation and from a filmmaker who is a great friend of the festival,” said Alejandro Ramírez.

FICM awarded the best of its 18th edition!

The Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) closed its 18th edition with a symbolic award ceremony in Room 4 of Cinépolis Morelia Centro.

After intense virtual deliberations, the jury made up of Marisa Paredes, Vanja Kaludjercic, Rithy Panh, Lili Hinstin, Nick James, Nicolas Philibert, John Bailey, Farah Clémentine Dramani-Issifou, Patricia Riggen, Sébastien Duclocher, Hugo Villa Smythe, Samuel Kishi and Benoît Martin, chose the best works from among 89 films that were part of the Official Selection.
