Some filmmakers whose early work was shown at New Directors / New Films are: Pedro Almodóvar, Atom Egoyan, Spike Lee, Richard Linklater, Sally Potter, Steven Spielberg, Wim Wenders and Wong Kar Wai. Now, with the screening of Para armar un helicóptero, the name of Izabel Acevedo will be added to this list. New Directors / New Films will show Para armar un helicóptero on March 30 at the Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater at 15:30 hours and on March 31 at the MoMA at 13:30 hours. Besides winning the Best Short Fiction Film Award at the 2012 FICM, Para armar un helicóptero recently received the Grand Jury Award at the 35th edition of the International Short Film Festival - Clermont-Ferrand, in France.
