Un cuento de circo & a Love Song tells the story of Refugio, a boy born in the circus who embarks on a quest to find his first love, lost years ago. A story about hope, redemption and the twists of fate. The film is produced by Ítaca Films, Producciones Escarabajo, Total Filmes and the producers Alex García, Santiago García Galván, Bruno Bichir and Demián Bichir. The cast is integrated by Demián Bichir, José Ángel Bichir, Julio Bracho, Juan Carlos Colombo, Diane Kruger, Eva Longoria, Ludwika Paleta, Jason Patric, Jorge Perugorría, Arcelia Ramírez, Stefanie Sherk and Ana Claudia Talancón. Demián Bichir inaugurated the 9th FICM with A Better Life (2011), film in which he starred and which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. For FICM, it is a great honor to have Demián Bichir’s directorial debut in this edition of the festival.
