In 1940s Kansas City, Missouri, the times are changing around the Bridge family. Mr. Bridge clings to the values of the previous decade and fights to indoctrinate his children with that vision. Meanwhile, Mrs. Bridge’s perspective begins to shift in response to her oppressive surroundings.
