Carol Littleton

Carol Littleton (ACE) is one of Hollywood’s most talented and successful film editors. Her editing career spans 40 years, with more than 35 feature films to her credit. Littleton began a close collaboration with writer-director Lawrence Kasdan in 1981 on Body Heat, his directorial debut. She continued her collaboration with Kasdan on eight more films, including The Big Chill, Silverado, Grand Canyon, and The Accidental Tourist. Littleton has also worked with director Jonathan Demme on four films, including Beloved and The Manchurian Candidate.

Littleton has received many awards, including an Academy Award nomination in 1983 for Steven Spielberg’s E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial; an Emmy for her work on Tuesdays with Morrie; and more recently, in 2017, an Eddie from the American Cinema Editors for her work on All The Way. Her most recent film was My Dinner With Herve for writer-director Sacha Gervasi; it aired on HBO in October 2018.

Littleton’s husband of 47 years is John Bailey, distinguished cinematographer and former President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. John and Carol have a very special affection for the Morelia Film Festival.
