Jean-Pierre Garcia spoke about how important FICM was for Rissient: "For him, it was one of the great festivals that he might have wanted to know much earlier, when we talk about Rissient and his love for the festival we're not talking about anyone, we are talking about someone very committed to cinema of the whole world, we can talk about him as an adventurer of cinema, a hunter of important works," he concluded.
