A boy and his father embark on an unexpected journey through the backlands of 1968 Mexico. Increasingly torn and distraught, Carlos´s father finds it harder to conceal the truth that awaits them at their destination. The conflicted relationship paints a portrait of a family divided by a lack of communication. Carlos soon discovers the muted truth that haunts his family. He must decide whether to cut these ties or fall silent to a familiar fate.
