Susana Le Marchand, a housewife ignored by her wealthy husband, is looking for a new maid. Her former gardener gives Susana a gift from his wife, Hilda. Flattered by the gesture, Susana decides to hire Hilda. One day, Hilda finds some Marxist books. Susana takes them and reconnects with her leftist past. She questions the frivolity of her life and, with Hilda, decides to make a change.

His presence will change everything, and Manuel’s dream of being a father will end in his own exile.
