The band Misterio Musical takes on their next challenge, having become one of the most popular Oaxacan bands in Los Angeles. The time is ripe for a return to their villages in La Sierra Norte mountains in southern Mexico to play their music and reunite with family and friends for the first time in many years. Tagging along is a recent gringo acquaintance learning to operate his camera and speak a little Spanish along the way. This all adds up to a journey of self-discovery and a revealing border-crossing tale.
