12th FICM's short films available online

For the first time, FICM will present a selection online made up of 19 short films from the Official Selection of the 12th FICM: 4 from the Michoacán Section, 13 from the Mexican Short Film Section and 2 from the Mexican Documentary Section. These titles, which have a maximum duration of 15 minutes, will be available for viewing free of charge on the Internet during the week of the festival and until November 9.

The Online Mexican Short Film Selection opens a new window for Mexican film talent, taking into consideration the importance of today’s digital platforms. In this way, FICM broadens its outreach by offering quality Mexican cinema to the public around the world.

The audience worldwide will not only be able to enjoy the talent of these Mexican filmmakers from the comfort of their homes, but they can also vote for their favorite short film beginning October 17. The work with the greatest number of votes will receive the Online Short Film Award, which consists of a diploma, a tablet sponsored by YouTube, a year distribution prize given by La Ñora Distribuye and 50,000 pesos in cash granted by the TV channel I.SAT.
