10 · 17 · 14 Photos of the Red Carpet at the 12th FICM Share with twitter Share with facebook Share with mail Copy to clipboard The red carpet opening ceremony of the 12th FICM was held at Cinépolis Escala Morelia (formerly Plaza Morelia), hosted by announcer and film critic Oscar Uriel and broadcast live on the festival’s website. Personalities of the film world paraded before the press and the public: Jorge Sánchez, director of IMCINE; Guadalupe Ferrer, director of the UNAM Film Archive; Mauricio Maille, director of Visual Arts of the Fundación Televisa; actor José María Yazpik; actress Johanna Murillo; producer Lynn Fainchtein; music composer for film Michael Nyman and the audiovisual attaché from France in Mexico, Jean-Christophe Berjon. The guest of Honor Pierre Rissient and Special Guest Lina Todd, as well as some members of the jury, including Daniel Giménez Cacho, also attended. In addition, the director of the opening film of the 12th FICM, Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), Alejandro González Iñárritu and the festival directors were present at the ceremony.
