The Industry Academy International in Morelia opens the call for entries

The Industry Academy International in Morelia is a new initiative organized by Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia in partnership with the Festival del film Locarno. This workshop aims at helping young industry professionals in sales, marketing, online and traditional distribution, exhibition and programming, to understand the challenges of the independent movie industry within the Latin American and the International scene.

Nurtured by the success of the pilot edition held in 2015 during the 13th edition of Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia, the 2016 edition will offer a tailor made 5-day workshop to a selection of up to 10 participants from Mexico and abroad.

As a result of a long-standing relationship between Festival del film Locarno and its international partners, the Industry Academy International in Morelia signifies the ongoing dedication of engaging a new generation of key players in the independent film industry, helping them attaining a better understanding of the industry’s challenge and giving them the opportunity to broaden their networks of contacts, while also building bridges across different markets.

The organization of this workshop has been possible thanks to additional support from the Mexican Film Institute.
