FICM Presents Classic Mexican Cinema in Lyon

It is an honor to announce that FICM’s effort to shown the jewels of national cinema at the best film forums of the world will continue at the 2015 edition of the Lumière Grand Lyon Film Festival, where a program of classic Mexican cinema will be presented. The Lumière Grand Lyon Film Festival is known for promoting the rediscovery of cinema, exhibiting retrospectives and restored films that honor the history of the seventh art.

Thierry Frémaux, director of the Lyon festival, is also the general delegate of the Cannes Film Festival and has attended FICM as a Special Guest on two occasions. Frémaux describes the mission of the Lumière Grand Lyon Film Festival in the following way: “We are fighting for viewers to return to theaters to see classic films as if they were watching a live show.”
