Call for applicants: Cine Qua Non Lab 2014 screenwriter’s workshop

The call for applicants for the Cine Qua Non Lab 2014 International Screenwriter’s Workshop for narrative feature films is open.

Cine Qua Non Lab is an artists’ residency for filmmakers located in Morelia, Mexico, and New York City. Its mission is to develop independent cinema by providing a space for filmmakers to envision and develop their work, bringing them together to exchange ideas, share perspectives, and find new opportunities for collaboration.

The International Screenwriter’s Workshop is a 13-day workshop that gives independent screenwriters the opportunity to work intensively on their feature length narrative scripts in an environment structured to foster professional collaboration and high-caliber script development.

The workshop will take place in Tzintzuntzan, a small town in the state of Michoacán, Mexico, approximately 50 km from the city of Morelia. The workshop, writing, and living spaces are tucked amidst the beauty of the Sierra Madre Mountains, overlooking Lake Pátzcuaro, a quiet natural retreat.
